VENERABLE Edward MORGAN

VENERABLE Edward MORGAN was born at Bettisfield, Manmer, Flintshirfe. He studied at Rome, VALLADOLID and Madrid and was ordained priest at Salamanca in 1621 and was sent on the English Mission. He was imprisoned in 1629 for refusing to take the oath of allegience. Later in 1632 he was condemned in the Star Chamber to have his ears nailed to the pillory for having accused certain judges of treason. Afterwards he was condemnded to death for being a priest and was executed at Tyburn, London on 26th April 1642.
